How to Be Yourself - Like Nietzsche

"Let us only go forward - let us make a move!"
1
Friedrich Nietzsche by Edvard Munch (1906)

What does it mean to become who you are?

It might sound like odd advice if it came from a friend. But this is precisely what the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche stressed; we must focus on becoming who we are.

Today’s episode continues our introduction to Existentialist thinkers. Last week we discussed the meaning of Existentialism through a clip from my conversation with Skye Cleary (the author of How to Be Authentic). Today we transition to Nietzsche and the notion of becoming who we are.

In this episode, you’ll hear a short clip from my conversation with Nate Anderson (the author of In Emergency Break Glass).
