The notion of being who you are might sound strange. You might wonder, โWho else could I be?โ But curiously, many of us spend significant portions of our lives behaving in ways that are not aligned with who we are.
The American Trappist monk Thomas Merton made this point in New Seeds of Contemplation, โMany poets are not poets for the same reason that many religious men are not saints: they never succeed in being themselves.โ
