Living the Questions | How to live?
In this episode, my guest is Simon Drew from the Walled Garden Philosophical Society. As many of you know, Simon is a friend, poet, musician, philosopher, and someone deeply interested in life’s questions. Today’s episode is part II of a series (Listen to Part I) we are calling Living the Questions. The title is inspired by a popular quote from the poet Rainer Maria Rilke who wrote in Letters to a Young Poet, “Live the questions for now. Perhaps then, without even noticing it, you will gradually come, on some far-off day, to live your way into the answer.”
In the conversation, Simon and I explore the question: How to live? and discuss,
Creativity and style
The middle way
Navigating obstacles
The wisdom of flexibility
Being intentional and much more

Love all your questions and the examples and experiences you have shared...especially the bamboo.
For me, flexibility is essential for what I call openForm shape.
It is form or structure and openness or flexibility. They are not polarities on one continuum but more like a sound mixer of treble and bass, where you can have more or less of each at any time. It can be applied to all things. It is part of my Life Design proposition for peace.
I have written six booklets of propositions for peace: Life Schema, Life Source, Life Design, Life Leadership, Life Learning and Life Connection.
If you are interested, I have shared the first three booklets on my Substack. The last three are on their way.

Just an aside...your bamboo and tree references remind me of my favourite song. It is from my children's music class when they were young.
Bend with the wind,
Bend with the wind,
Sway-ay
Sway-ay
And bend, bend with the wind.
(of course...you have to sway like a tree with your arms in the air when you sing it)
Greetings Andrews, Thanks for listening! Glad to hear you found something useful!
